Final Cut Pro and the making of 'No Country for Old Men'

There has been a lot of talk in the last couple of years about Apple’s hardware triumphs, like the Intel Mac, the iPod and the iPhone. But there is more to Apple than just hardware — one of the unsung heros for Apple is its professional line of applications like Final Cut Pro.

The Coen brothers proved during the making of No Country for Old Men just how influential a Mac and the right software can be during the editing process. The movie won four Oscars at this year’s Academy Awards, including Best Picture. In fact, it is the first movie edited with a completely digital workflow on Mac to win the Oscar.

just watched no country for old men, it's unassumingly unconventional yet (thankfully) never over-the-top. the Coen bros. deserve their Oscars; well done indeed.
